Swedish delights

It's good to know I'm not the only one taking photos of the food at the IKEA cafe & restaurant (here and here). I've even fanstasized about hiding in one of those Odda wardrobes until after closing time and just running amok in the store-and yet in reality I do just about the same everytime I step in this place (keep me away from the children's section).

This was meant to be a food related post but I digress. We enjoyed the swedish meatballs with sauce and lingonberry jam, chips and the famous lingonberry (cranberry?) drink.

Also picked up some Gele Hallon (raspberry gummies) which after tasting, remind me a lot of this raspberry cordial I use to beg mum to buy us as kids from those 20c machine at the local supermarket.
It also reminds me of the famous Muppets sketch with Swedish Chef playing tennis with meatballs!

  1. I think we all have that fantasy to run amok after hours in Ikea. It makes me think of the movie Mannequin where the guy is in the department store overnight and the mannequin comes alive at night. A classic 80's corny movie.
