Robbie's Stein

Robbie's Stein
99 Sydney Rd
Brunswick 3056

This place has had much excitement around it (similar to Rumi and Thom Phat) thanks to it's location in the 'hot spot' of Brunswick and despite going past it every day since it opened I've only recently had a chance to find out that the hype is easily matched by the service, atmopshere and most importantly the food!

They do a great fish and chips and serve it with a bit more flair- some tartare sauce, lemon wedges and a really nice mild curry dipping sauce!

The beef salad was a nice contrast- crisp and refreshing with a nice hint of heat in the specks of chili sprinkled through. Accompanied well with a crisp white wine or rose!

  1. That's a generous serving of dipping sauce! The fish looks great, no chance of eating that with cutlery

  2. Really enjoyed the great coffee and food at Robbie's Stein, until recently, we encountered a waitress who we felt was incredibly rude. She seemed some flustered about the fact that we were there with our two year old. Not all places are child friendly, I agree. But this particular person made us feel unwelcomed to the point that my husband and I will not return. Such a shame.
