Crunchy Granola.. or how I learned to love Neil Diamond

What you need:
a cup of chopped dried fruit (sultanas, peaches, craisins, pears, dates)
1/2 to 1 cup of chopped nuts (almonds, pecans, macadamia, walnuts)
a cup of oats, bran (with a pinch of sesame and poppy seeds)
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
1 cup honey
a squeeze of lemon juice

What you do:
bring to boil, honey, lemon juice and oil
pour over nuts and cereals.
add fruit and mix.
put in a shallow tray (approx 30 x 40 cm and 1 inch deep)
cook at 150 degrees celsius, mixing with a spoon until golden and toasted (approx 1-1.5 hours)

Storage:
depending on tastes makes up to 800g of granola
in a airtight container keeps for at least 3 weeks- ours disappeared well before then!

Note:
use dried fruit or nuts you prefer or any you have and like!
you can sprinkle some on fruit, yoghurt, sexy up your boring cereal or just snack on it!
listening to Neil Diamond music is optional and does not make the granola any crunchier or tasty!
